Emergencies can happen to anyone, anytime, and anywhere! MASA MTS has you covered in these dire situations!

We provide medical emergency transportation solutions AND cover your out of pocket medical transport costs when your insurance falls short.

Many Americans believe that Medicare and other health insurance policies cover all ground and air ambulance expenses. The truth is, they most likely DO NOT! Even after insurance, you can receive a bill from the provider ranging from several hundred of dollars to tens of thousands of dollars. The financial burdens that can arise due to extremely high medical transportation costs are very real. In the event of an emergency transport in a major metropolitan area, even after insurance, you are likely receive a bill ranging from $500 to over $1,000 for aground ambulance transport alone.

“All I had to do was send the bill which was never paid by Medicare and TriCare for Life --- and the rest is history. When MASA received that bill, it was paid and all amounts owed satisfied.” --- MASA Member, 2015

Only MASA MTS for ICOS members provides the complete and ultimate peace of mind from these high emergency medical transport bills, whether the situation occurs while at home, work, or travelling.

Did you know...

  • Travel and credit card insurance policies may pay a portion of the cost, but commonly will not cover all of the costs associated with an emergency transport. Additionally, there are generally many restrictions associated with the policies exposing you to a complete denial even after countless claims forms and appeals have been submitted.
  • The cost for non-emergent air ambulance transports can easily exceed $20,000 domestically and even surpass$100,000 for international flights.
  • Emergent transport by air is costly and the exposure is very real. There are over half of a million people unexpectedly transported annually by medical helicopters and small planes in order to obtain the necessary emergency care. The costs associated with these transports commonly exceed $40,000.
  • Ground ambulance bills still owed after insurance has paid its part are one of the most common claims submitted to MASA MTS, with a majority resulting from a transport occurring within 20 miles of the member’s home.
  • For about $1 a day, your entire family will be covered. As an added thank you, your rate will NEVER change as long as you keep your MASA MTS membership current, no matter how high healthcare costs continue to go up.
